Fi-Med announces the latest in a series of Physician RAC Summits to tour the United States this year.
WAUWATOSA, WI –Fi-Med Management, Inc announced today the location of the next RAC conference for physicians. The 2011 Physicians RAC Summit™ will be held at the Omni Galleria in Houston, Texas June 5-7th.
Adrian Velasquez, President of Fi-Med Management and CMPA software creator and Senior Analyst Frank Cohen, will be the keynote speakers. Other speakers to include Patrick Marion, Mark Reiger, Dennis Mihale MD., Ernie de los Santos (EduTrax, RACmonitor), Rose Shattuck, J. The Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act, signed into law by President Obama just one year ago, greatly expanded the audit operations for the Medicare and Medicaid programs. At the hub of these efforts are the Recovery Audit Contractors (RAC’s), which are now fully operational for the Medicare program, and will expand to include services reimbursed by state Medicaid programs in April of 2011.
