Billing mistakes are a common source of revenue decline for practices, according to Fi-Med Co-founder and CEO Adrian Velasquez. Fi-Med is a Wauwatosa, Wis.-based predictive analytics provider.
Mr. Velasquez shared the following billing tip with Modern Medicine.
“Have someone on staff doing your coding, a certified coder, or outsource that coding. And make sure the physician’s documentation supports the codes that were used in the treatment of service.”
