I've been watching and listening to all the reports about this tragedy and can't help thinking about being able to fly out to assist in the relief effort; but I realize that there would be very little that I am qualified to do.
You are right to say that every little bit will help; donating money to the Red Cross or even volunteering in their phone centers to answer questions would help out much more than just thinking that "I can’t be there". Thanks for bringing it to our attention.

Great post, Karla. I just hope that long after the "newness" of this catastrophy has passed, that people will continue to offer support. Sometimes it seems like there is a huge call to action in the beginning but then people grow tired of hearing about it. Just like with Katrina-the need is still there. I just can't imagine going through something like that. Thank you for sharing ways that we can help.
