In 1993 Adrian Velasquez and Christine Krause partnered to co-found Fi-Med Management, Inc., then run from the basement of Christine’s home and known as Integrated Health Care Management, Inc., in an effort to impact an industry fast-losing its independent physicians to the power and prowess of large health care organizations and networks.

It wasn’t long before the market caught on to the need for and the availability of Fi-Med’s services and the company grew exponentially in its early years, and continues to be among Wisconsin’s fastest-growing businesses today.

Fi-Med has been the recipient of numerous awards and accolades, including the 2006 award for Business Growth in Wisconsin and the Congressional Award for Outstanding and Invaluable Service to the Community, also in 2006. In 2007, Fi-Med’s Adrian Velasquez and Christine Krause were selected to receive the Small Business Administration’s Small Business Persons of the Year Award.
